ING-Girls Inc. Investment Challenge Celebrations

For three years, teen girls in Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, and Alameda County (CA) built and managed real-time, virtual $50,000 portfolios, supported by trained Girls Inc. staff and ING U.S. employee volunteers.

In addition to returns ranging from 31% to over 50%, the girls gained lifelong lessons such as opening communication about money with family, a better understanding of the economy and how it affects their lives, and more confidence with finance.

Across the country this summer, girls, their families, Girls Inc. staff, and ING volunteers and executives have come together this summer to award college scholarships to 35 girls based on their portfolio gains.
