   Ads directed at girls and women emphasize the importance of beauty in order to sell their products. How does this affect us? It can make us self-conscious about our weight and can cause us to obsess about our physical appearance.

    a. You've got the right idea! I see plenty of images and characters that are great role models for girls.
    b. You're doing pretty well, but there's some room for improvement.
    c. Ok, I've seen some strong, smart and bold messages, but there should be a lot more.
    d. I'm not impressed. Most media messages are pretty unrealistic. I rarely see positive messages.
