You've heard or read about Girls Incorporated and some of the programs that have been developed for girls and young women. You'd like to have one or more of the programs available for girls in your community and want to know how you can achieve that goal.
The most important first step is for you to become knowledgeable about Girls Incorporated and the programs so you can talk with others in the community.
Two ways to join. Decide which is most appropriate for you!
1. [Start a new Girls Incorporated organization [Error: page 'Start A New Girls Inc.' not set to 'generate'] ] Start a new nonprofit organization. This is a challenging process that can take several years and involves a group of volunteers in the community. Girls Incorporated member organizations receive all of the copyrighted programs and related materials as well as management services; they participate in the governance of the national organization and are part of a national network. All member organizations have Girls Incorporated as part of their name. Annual dues are paid to the national organization. [Pursue this option. 2. Learn about other ways to help girls. There are many ways individuals can help girls that doesn't require starting your own organization. Parents and other adults who are interested in more information should take a look at our list of resources.
