Mary Byron

As a longtime donor, former board member, and friend of Girls Inc., Mary Byron exemplifies strong, smart, and bold. Overcoming bias and taking positive risks along the way, Mary is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Her experiences working in a male-dominated field led Mary to Girls Inc. Understanding the benefit and importance of Girls Inc. programs, staff, and mentors, Mary is committed to helping girls find the confidence to succeed. Indeed, she keeps in touch with Malica, a Girls Inc. National Scholar Mary met when honored at our 2012 Girls Inc. Luncheon Celebrating Women of Achievement. She gives Malica words of support and encouragement, and even attended her high school graduation. With Mary’s dedication, Girls Inc. is able to better serve those girls who need our assistance the most, and help them create their own bold futures.

Girls Inc. does such an effective job in helping girls to see their potential when the world around them tells them to think small.
